How to create a classroom
What is GCE? Well in more traditional terms it stands for global citizen experience but during this week I got to learn more about what Gce is and what my goals are and should be while being at the school. In this relatively smaller blog post I will attempt to answer this question in my own way. First off, what does it mean to be at GCE lab school? This week me and the rest of the school go to learn about what we need to know about what we know about the school and how we can be successful at the school as well.
The goal for today was to answer the question, what does a Gce classroom look like? We started today by writing down our ideas together of what we should expect out of students as well as teachers, you can see on the picture here:
After that we went into our smaller groups and talked about what other classrooms look like and what we want ours to look like. Then we went out to make changes and designs to how older classrooms looked, and changed them to our personal liking. We also moved different things around like tables and chairs to what can fit a classroom the best way.
We mainly chose this layout because we felt like it gave enough space for people to see each other but not to close because of covid reasons
In conclusion I feel like Gce is a space where there’s not only students learning from teachers and each other, but also the teachers learning from students in some forms as well.
